nyc & studio 6-23

we have NEW fabulous friends in our life and it all started over the internet. we totally see how people fall in love this way!

ryan and i were heading to NYC to attend the national stationery show (because we LOVE paper) and found out that ben + mindy (of studio 6-23 in grand rapid MI) were going to CT to do some shoots. so we said, "meet us, meet us!!". and they did. we met in grand central station trying to find them in a crowd... so romantic. :) then we were off to see the city together and stop along the way to snap some pictures. they are just as much fun as they seem and we hit it off like old friends! the day included looking for a polka dot strapless dress and a bright yellow belt to go with mindy's turquoise heels for an upcoming family shoot ( i WANT those shoes!), trying to convince ben to buy some bright colored shoes (ryan bought them instead, YAY ryan!), passing a movie set called "fair game" with sean penn and naomi watts (we totally saw them with our own eyes and were asked if we were paparazzi!), having lunch & drinks at the coolest mexican restaurant (tortilla flats), and laughing alot! you can see more photos and their blog post here.

ben+mindy are a so cool and hip and love life and their job! they have three DARLING kids and they LOVE to travel and book sessions all across the country. you should contact them and see when they will be near you. seriously! they are coming out to spokane washington to do our family photos one day soon and we anticipate them being booked solid just from OUR family and friends. :) thanks for the most magical day ben and mindy. BFF! :)
